 Niuean Language Week was on October 18th, 2020.  In our class (Te Wairua Pakiki 5) we researched about Niue and learnt that Captain Cook named Niue 'Savage Island'. We wanted to celebrate the culture and how it's important for the people that are from Niuean culture. I hope you enjoy my work.

MY LABOR WEEKEND

 During my labor weekend my family and I went on a road trip to Taupo so we could finally get out of Auckland. We decided to live in a hotel for now we stayed there from sunday to monday, we went in this big white van it really sounded like a bus we went at 4:00 o’clock in the morning. The drive was very long but we all enjoyed it. We made a pitstop at a place called Huka Falls. We had a picnic there before walking over to enjoy the beautiful scenery and as we went to look, we found out that it was a considerable river. We all saw a light blueish river but when you look further there is enormis river on the other side my uncle and aunt decided to take photos of the river for a good memory. When we finished with all the photos we started heading back to the van, when we all got in my dad drove and we went to a gas station to get coffee for the adults and the hot chocolate for us ‘’little kids’’ we saw a steamy river from one of the factories we saw then we were getting there then we looked at the google maps and the hotel was around the corner. When we got there we took our bags and togs for the spa that we were gonna be swimming in we got in and we had to stay out so my mum could go and talk with the lady at the desk. so we went and waited in the lobby. when we finally got to our rooms, my cousins and I dashed up stairs and went in our rooms and got our togs and dashed back down stairs and got into the spa. It was hot it was up on 40 degrees and my siblings and cousins joined me, it was so much fun! After 30 minutes, i got out and dried up and headed for a quick shower. We then went to burger king for dinner. When we got there we got our food and ate and then we saw an arcade so we played a little before heading back to our hotel for snacks and a little sleep ready for the next day filled with more food and adventures.

 

 MY FRIEND TIME TERM 4 2020

On Tuesday 20th of October Lawrence and I went to go to my aunt's house to see my aunt's three dogs. Their type is a hunting dog and two pitbull ‘’oh’’ and a husky at the back under the house. Because it would've been biting out butt if they let it out.

My uncle decided to burn some sticks and old paper in the bone fire when I was helping my friend went to get stuff and burn it even if it’s ‘’not his’’ when it was getting dark he went back home but I had another friend come over who was Sio my friends brother when he came ‘’with his bike’’ when Roger arrived my ‘’cousin’’ who I invited.

 I asked my aunt if I could have a drink of fanta and she said yes so I went inside and and got a cup of it a full one ‘’let’s go’’ when we were finished I started heading home when those two stay there and then I went sleep and I thought that the smell of the smoke was strong and the seeing of the fire was like relaxing. I could hear the fire sparking like coke when you open it the sssssssssssss sound so satisfying and saying to my uncle and aunt can you hear it and then I went to find a milk bottle cause my dad did this trick with the bottle that you burn it and melt it and you hold it up and there will be a drip of fire that make a shooting sound that sounds cool. 

MATHS PROJECT

Today in class we were doing fractions the first work we did was ‘’ what fraction of these is shade’’ we started this today because we mostly do maths every morning this is my favorite subject it was chapter 8 and pg 115 I worked it by using my counting and getting help from my friend amihuti.

This is my story about my class learning about captain cooks first landing in mercury bay and talking about I hope you guys enjoy my work.

I am a rock that likes to get thrown at people and sometimes I kill them. I am useful in battles. I was found on the sand by people that I could still kill with my thick and hard body. In the olden days I was a hard weapon. My hero would throw me and I would kick the enemies faces and knock them out. Their faces weren’t familiar to my people and even their skin was different. I heard a bang and I was dropped. I sat on the floor for 250 years. I was taken to a big place that had a lot of humans.They looked and smelled but I could still kill them if I wanted. I'm placed on a hard desk. I see people looking at me and even trying to touch me. The next day I woke up in a brown and squashed up bag. I stop and look around and see others like me. Found from the ground. We stopped and the top shined beautifully on someone who was yummy to kill. But suddenly he grabbed me and put me on the ground and I saw these other other humans. I got picked up and I was placed on a desk or something and then they all came and one man grabbed me and started taking me to his place. I was given to another person and I was so mad because I liked the other guy instead of this one but this guy was friendly so we were friends forever. THE END

I am two animals seeing this boy walking in the woods and staking sticks, trying to make a wood house and cutting off trees, and making the windows with the glases on the ground even if it’s dirty. and with mud ew that's disgusting and then I found out that it took years doing this job by himself so i decided to go to the edge of the mountain. and made these sounds and then he came and he talked to me saying who are you and i said that i am a creature seeking something among all humans like you. and then we made a good friendship and in the Future we would make a good friendship.

SPREADING THE GOOD NEWS

Walt: Today in class we are learning how to identify how the early church community began to spread good news. Ascension changed the lives of the apostles because so they could learn more about the lord word. Pentecost changed the apostles lives by showing how much god wants them to keep and speaking in lords word and never stop. I think they viewed there future by like praying to and reading so much of the bible.It made them have a positive future and have a good family and keep praying to the lord.
